I'm a parent. And I'd be damned if I imitated the parents of Caleb and Sophia. I've often heard from the platform that the Become Jehovah's Friend series is not just for children, but a learning instrument for parents, too. The parent/child dynamic in those cartoons of instilling guilt and using fear tactics to curb a child's natural sense of imagination, curiosity (or sleep cycle) is deplorable. I'd sooner take parenting advice from the Octomom.

Laziness of JW parents?
by stuckinarut2 init seems that many witness parents are simply taking the lazy option when it comes to raising their children.. by this i mean, they will happily outsource the education of their kids to the ready-made information on jwdotorg.. need to keep the toddler busy?
just stick him in front of a colourful caleb and sophia cartoon.
or lets play coloring-in on ready made pictures of bible characters getting killed.. need to manipulate the mind of your growing child?

My Father has brandished me with the "APOSTATE" word for talking about the BIBLE!
by stuckinarut2 inso after three years of fading, my elder father has never really asked why we have chosen to stop attending.. today, after a mixed discussion, he starts talking about the "solution to all the world problems" and says "i don't know what you now believe, but i believe gods kingdom will fix everything" i let the comment go, and didn't respond.. then he goes on about the video "remember the wife of lot" because he just came from the convention last weekend.
"don't get caught up in this system...blah blah".
i couldn't help myself, and said one thing "dad, that video failed to show the next chapter of that account.

@kepler, Ja it is mirrored but only because in Egyptian (my mother's tongue), the text is arranged "back to front". It's weird, but all books start from what we'd deem as the back cover. The beginning of the book is on the last page. You read from right to left in Arabic : ).

Hey Terry, thanks for posting that picture from the My Book of Bible Stories publication. You know, when I first saw that illustration online with the dinosaur, I couldn't believe my eyes that I could have missed such an obvious goof when reading that book as a child. So I went back to my parents' home and located my childhood yellow book of horrors. But the dinosaur was not in the image (see below). I checked both the hardcover edition and the soft cover one, but no dinosaur. Can anyone verify the authenticity of the image that includes the dinosaur which @TerryWalstrom posted from JWSurvey.org? Thank you.

Amazing new graph - publisher increase compared to country population increase rates
by jwfacts inworld population growth rate is 1.13%, whilst jehovah's witness average publishers grew by 1.8%.
watchtower growth is outpacing population growth, though at a dismal rate considering the 2 billion hours of preaching required for an increase of just 115,194. this is an aggregate number, and most growth is from developing nations in africa and south america.
what i was really interested in finding is how watchtower growth compares to the population growth in different countries.

I have Sign of the Last Days: When? by Carl Olof Jonsson and it was pretty solid. While I can't weigh in on his other book, I just want to say I appreciate your intellectual honesty and fairness when it comes to exploring all sides of an argument/idea.
